The original finish is in sad shape and we would like to paint it. What would be the most durable paint to use on a bathroom vanity. It is dark cherry now and we’d like to go white.

Sand it lightly, and use a primer by itself, then get the paint, I'd use high gloss, to protect the wood. Glidden.

    High gloss or bathroom paint.

I would use a high gloss finish. Not only is it best in humidity, but is easier to clean and looks "sparkly"

Puchase furniture paint. It hardens quickly and never gets tacky in dampness. Also resists dents and scratches. Always best to prime anything you paint for best results. I use Kilz waterbase primer and Lowe's Home Improvement furmiture paint. Unlimited colors

Sand, prime and paint with a good gloss paint.
