Snacks like chex mix. A coupon book where the coupons can be redeemed for things like a free car wash, waxing a motorcycle, etc.

Make salt and pepper shakers out of beer bottles. Punch holes in the lids and fill up. I do this all the time and you can't get any easier. Plus you get to drink the beer first!

Get them an angel bell and/or a leather bracelet, and make them some food they really enjoy. If they are a beef eating guy, I really would make them an Angus beef pot roast with potatoes and carrots (onions optional). If you are a crockpot kind of person, let it do the cooking for you. Put 1/2 inch of water in the bottom, put in the beef (let's say 4 lbs.), 7-8 scrubbed potatoes halved around the sides, an entire 2 lb. bag of scrubbed carrots (just trimmed, leave whole), on high for 5 1/2 hours. I do not season this, I cook it just like this. They can add their own salt and pepper. It is remarkably good, and you could do it for less than $20. Voila, you are done, and they will love it and mention it to you often (hoping you will do it again).

With cold weather coming up, make a Balaclava. These are great! Here is a free pattern: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/115264071686825372/?lp=true

Thank you all for your suggestions. I live in FL so cold weather isn't really a problem as it is sporatic. I have no money to spend but have lots of stuff like pieces of wood and so forth. I am still at a lost. I can make just about anything for my girlfriends and female relatives but when it comes to my husband, sons and male friends - I am stuck.
