Arranging sectional

I agree with others' comments that the present sectional is way too huge, overpowers and dominates the space. It's even encroaching on the doorway!

Yes, the scheme in the photo above would be way more suitable, but to refine your space, I would go even smaller with the size of the furniture. Instead of the L-shaped couch, go for 2 loveseats. This will give you so much more versatility in choices and variety of how to arrange the pieces, and directions that they face. It will also give you many more options in where you can put your end tables, lamps.

Unless you absolutely love the large recliner style chairs, if you do want a single chair, then go for a smaller size swivel one. It will be easier and lighter to move, to vacuum around, and would be a much better scale size for your room, as they take up much less floor and air space.

The square piece, presently shown in the centre, can be used anywhere as a table, ottoman, and for storage.
