Dishwasher problem!

My dishes have a white haze on them after going through the dishwasher. I've tried vinegar, baking soda etc to try to clean the dishwasher. Is it my water softener, dishwasher or dishwasher detergent? Just happened the last 6 weeks.

When have you last cleaned out all the filters on your dishwasher? Athough models differ, there is almost always a way to remove the mesh screen to thoroughly clean it, and to ensure that there are not food particles blocking the water flow coming into, or going out of the dishwasher.

    Answer this Hometalker's question!

Are you using powder or powdered puck style of detergent? If so, switch to the liquid gel style, or gel pucks, and fill your rinse dispenser with vinegar, to see if the situation improves.

I had the same trouble. I found a booster for the dishwasher for our water that is rich in minerals. It is called Lemi-Shine Booster dishwasher cleanser. It can be found where dishsoap is sold. Lemi-Shine is a Walmart brand and works great. It comes in 2 sizes. I use it in every load and love it. My dishes come out perfectly clear and clean now!
