Making a bottle lamp. Want Christmas lights inside base and a regular light bulb with shade on top that will turn on at light socket switch

Why not use Fairy lights
Am lighting the bottom to show through tumbled agates. Fairy lights are a thought but not really what I want. Want to wire the lights to the switch
I googled how to videos to do just that. You will find the tools you will need to drill glass and how to wire up the socket for the bulb. This is one of my finished lamps. I didn't think to take how to pics as I didn't know about Pinterest at the time.
