I have a 3 yr old Rhodadrendon (sp?) and it has yet to bloom. Why?

Possibly it isn’t in the right location for the light it needs. Are you feeding it food for acid loving plants? Have you planted them in the right soil? I find them very picky about all of that.

Add some bone meal (Phosphorus) and fertilizer (specific to rhodies) in the spring. Don't over fertilize the rest of the year.

If the buds get frost nipped they won't bloom. Some species bloom when the plant is older.

Keep them acidified by mulching with pine needles or coffee grounds.

Test your soil, for then you will know for sure. Ask at a nursery, what to use for testing. J

If you are fertilizing, it may be too much nitrogen making the plant grow healthy but too rich to produce buds.
