Can plastic be painted with chalk paint?

From what I have read and understand, you can Chalk Paint on anything :-), and... it is so easy to make your own, especially if you're on a tight budget

I would think the answer is yes. I've been doing thrift store picture frames (some made of metal), brass lamps, and lots of other materials with chalk paint and haven't had a fail yet. I agree with Beverly...make your own! I've never used the professional kind so I can't compare the two, but homemade works very well at a really low cost. I should mention to be sure and wax afterwards to set the paint, and also that I haven't done any of the above-mentioned projects for everyday handling, so I don't know if they would stand up to that.
