Hanging With My Peeps Art

Hi friends, I am sharing with you today a little piece of art I made in the spirit of Easter called “Hanging with my Peeps.”
This was an easy and fun project to do and I’ll show you how too.
For holidays I always like to add something new with out spending a lot of money and I remember I had found this pretty frame and was going to use it in a wall gallery upstairs. It was a great thrift store find for $6.95 and I love the shabby chic and chippy finish on it.
This is how the frame looked when I found it.
I just wrote out my words on a paper towel and then traced over it through the burlap. You can see a little through the holes. Simple and easy to do.
These are the fabrics I chose, one Ralph Lauren sage green n white check and a toile print that is white with pink that I love and some burlap that were all in my fabric stash.
Then I used heat and bond and put it in between the bunnies and the burlap. Then I just pressed them down.
I found this pack of pom poms at the Dollar Tree and used the small pink one for the middle bunnies tail. I thought it would add a little cuteness.
I love the way it turned out and it will be perfect to display for the next month before Easter.
