I would like to use vintage doorknobs to hang stuff on my walls, but don't know how to attach them to the wall. Help!

I have some I plan on putting up too for my drapes. They need the escutcheon plates.
  • I personally like the EZ-Anchors for drywall (white screw in drywall anchors) & then just use a specialty screw that has machine threads on 1/2 with the regular screw threads on the other 1/2. Screw machine side into knob & then screw into the anchor. Depending on the size of the knob & anchor determines the overall maximum length of the screw. You may also add a little wood glue to knob end to help lock it in place

I would mount the knobs onto a wooden base, and then mount the base onto the wall. That way you could do a whole row of them, and possibly only have two mounting holes.

I agree with Valerie, I used an old kitchen drawer front to mount my collection on knobs. I use it to hang my aprons.
