6 Colorful Kitchens We Love

Use these helpful color and paint ideas to create a beautiful kitchen.
For a sense of fun and whimsy, consider unique colors for walls, cabinets, and window trim. In this New Hampshire farmhouse, the owner used nine brilliant shades of paint. In the kitchen, the walls are painted Golden Straw and the cabinets are painted Sherwood Green, both by Benjamin Moore. The window frames are painted Tangelo by Benjamin Moore.
Give a kitchen appeal with a signature color. This bright and cheery California bungalow is awash in Sherwin-Williams's Convivial Yellow. Now glass cabinet fronts and white Viking appliances lighten up the space.
In this Massachusetts beach house kitchen, Wood-Mode cabinetry is painted a color similar to Green Crystal from Olympic. Cape Cod artist Tim Dibble custom-carved the kitchen's slate apron-front sink to incorporate local icons: a windmill, whale, lighthouse, and the word riptide.
A retro table and chairs set the mood and tone for this funky kitchen. With lots of white to keep the room looking sparkling clean, this palette—green on the walls, the red enamel stove, turquoise canisters and other collectibles, and cafe curtains and a braided rug that combine all these colors—unifies the areas of intense colors.
Add color and texture to a kitchen by choosing interesting accents. Orange mohair revives a vintage maple stool in the kitchen of this California cottage, where Carrara marble upgrades Ikea cabinets. The homeowner framed a 1960s supermarket ad as a cheeky homage to Andy Warhol's soup can. The walls are painted Coventry Gray by Benjamin Moore.
Don't play it safe—Ikea's white farmhouse sink pops against the high-gloss peacock blue paint (Varsity Blues by Benjamin Moore) that covers the walls, cabinets, and trim in this upstate New York kitchen.
