Easy Niche Update: DIY Triangle [Faux] Wallpaper

1.7K
I always mention this when I show a part of my home, but Zack and I rent a 2B/2B condo since we've both been in grad school. That's my disclaimer for whenever I show a new room or something, cause I try to lower your expectations right away! lol Now, just so you know, I can't paint the walls here. I am "stuck" with this white-ish color, so I needed to be creative. I came up with this little idea when I saw some black and white tree wallpaper on Pinterest and it was like a light bulb for me.

This projects was so easy, it barely requires a tutorial! I just used leftover chalkboard contact paper from this chalkboard contact paper backslash project. I had some scraps leftover from the chalkboard contact paper from this chalkboard contact paper backslash project.

I thought I could cut them into triangles and create something from that. It's not perfect, but it's fun! The triangles are around 2' h and 2.5' w and it only took around 20 minutes to cut them all out.

It turned out so nice! I love that they're triangles and not chevron or something else that's been done to death. I would do this in my house in a second! Love it!!

I'm going to be trying this idea this weekend helping a friend put together a big boy room for her son. We are going to use some adhesive black repositionable vinyl instead of the chalkboard contact paper but it'll be pretty similar. I love the high contrast accent it adds to the walls.
