That happened to my sons gazebo as well. So I took it and I'm planning on putting it on my deck at the cabin with 8"x 2" wood sun shades across the top. I won't have the protection from the rain, but I will from the sun and I won't have to worry about wind.

@Debi Carroll you meant 8 foot by 2 inch? wood sun shades, how would they fit on a 10 foot by 10 foot gazebo frame? thats what i have.

i was thinking of growing climbing rose bushes on the corners to maybe stablize it more?

Bonnie, I stand corrected, they are 2" x 6" x 12". My frame is 10x10 as well. Similar to the wood shades that are in this pic only on the metal frame. My neighbor did the same thing with their gazebo frame because he was sick of repairing it from the wind. I looks super nice and it saved a perfectly good frame. And frankly it looks better than the original gazebo.

@Bonnie Dedrick Britton not at this time but take apart the corners so it is now one piece. Take 2 rebar pound in the dirt (line up the trellis) and then put tyetons to hold in place. So this will give you 8 trellis. Will take pic soon the ground is muddy.

I have honey suckle starting to grow around the sides and the top rails, it sits out in a partial corner of the yard with a park bench and angel statuary on the shelves, no top, still working on that, i was going to used broken tree limbs to weave across the top, i'll work on that next spring. Its a work in progress lol.

We took the 4 corners and zip stripped the pairs together then used 12 foot 2 x 4 lumber to create the top and then used pieces of scrap lumber to build the arbor top I have mandevillea vine growing on it. It made a nice entrance to my garden.

my corners are already have hinges that are connected together on the corners, so no problem there. there is honey suckle growing on it but with winter coming it will be gone.

Rethink the use. We have a larger gazebo we use for weddings at the inn. It cost me 2x the price of the gazebo have it powder coated. Yes, it is beautiful..... but I need it to be a gazebo. In your case, if its a bit worn or dented, rethink the use, repaint, maybe in a bright color or grow a vine on it.
