If you like to use reed diffusers to add some subtle fragrance to your home, why not try this quick recipe to make your own scented liquids?

I keep a small reed diffuser bottle in my office and when it was time to replenish the liquid, I decided to save some money and make my own refill mixture. If you're not familiar with reed diffusers, they work by putting porous reeds into a scented liquid which is then absorbed into the reeds and diffused through the room. A small necked bottle is used so that the liquid will not evaporate too quickly.

You can make a homemade reed diffuser refill liquid using a combination of water and rubbing alcohol. Then the fun part begins by deciding which essential oils to combine for your own personal fragrance blend!

I think I'll try this! I have just started using a water based defuser for essential oils and I like that. If there was a Hobby Lobby where I live I'd support them 100%! I have grieved over the millions of babies who have been murdered in our country.

  @Charity Maher Abortion is not in the healthcare plans. Why do people not research. Abortion has not been allowed to be paid for with government money since the 60's. There is birth control in the healthcare plans..not abortions. Why not grieve for women that have pregnancies they can not afford..or are raped and have nothing to do but to have the child? How about women that are ill and should not have a child? What is wrong with birthcontrol? Hobby Lobby already provides BC in their healthcare plans. Oh and Plan B does not cause abortion..it is called the Morning After Pil..it is a Birth Control pill that if you had unprotected sex and either forgot your regular p[ill or was not on one, that you could take,,,its two different pills: emergency contraception, known as the morning-after pill, which prevents a pregnancy; and chemical abortion, or mifepristone, which ends a pregnancy of up to seven weeks’ gestation and isn’t covered under the new guidelines. If you do not want abortions..then why stop Birth Control?

That is why I only buy small bottles of perfume...and restrict my defusers to 3 -5 oz bottles :-) I prefer to look at them and smell them, enjoy each aspect of their beauty. If the bottle mouth is wide enough, I will even drop colored marbles into the bottom of the jar before adding the scent ingredients.
