TrapStik®for Wasps and TrapStik® for Biting Flies employ the science of visual attraction
For more than 30 years, RESCUE!®has revolutionized the consumer insectcontrol category by luring insects to traps with scent-based attractants andpheromones. Using new electroretinogram technology in their insect researchlab, however, RESCUE!® scientists are now using groundbreaking visual cues to attract insects.
The new TrapStik® for Wasps and TrapStik® for Flies use VisiLure™technology developed by RESCUE!® to attract insects with colors, shapes and other visual stimuli to which they respond.

“TrapStik®works by luring wasps or flies to a sticky surface using the three dimensional pattern and color combination they find most attractive,” explains Rod Schneidmiller, president and founder of Sterling International, the manufacturer of RESCUE!® products.
Once lured to the visually-based traps, wasps or flies remain trapped on its sticky adhesive, allowing homeowners to safely dispose of the insects responsible for the nest or infestation.

The TrapStik® for Wasps uses this new 3D technology to catch queen wasps in spring before they have time to build nests. It keeps workingfrom summer through fall to catch aggressive worker wasps. The trap works to catch paper wasps, carpenter bees and mud daubers.
“Wasps and yellowjackets have an important role in nature, but when they collide with us in the garden, something needs to be done for our safety,” says Doug Oster, author of Grow Organic and a garden writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “I'm glad I have organic products to reach for instead of dousing the garden with chemicals.”
TrapStik® for Flies works both indoors and outside when hung in a sheltered location protected from moisture. The trapcatches common house flies, cluster flies and fruit flies.
“The trap works best when hung where there’s a fly problem, such as around windows or in mud rooms and covered porches,” says Schneidmiller.
These new traps join the sticky Fly Tape in the VisiLure™ family and are being added to its already successful line of non-toxic RESCUE!® pest control solutions.
