How to grow basil from cuttings and newer again worry about basil seed germination :). Just take a cutting to multiply a plant in the fall for a winter indoor plant and in the spring again for a summer garden.
Growing Basil from Cuttings
Take a cutting from the existing plant and put it in water to grow roots.
Soon the little cutting will develop healthy roots
This are ready to go into the ground, or pot or Aquaponics garden.

    Wouldn't you know I have already started both a basil and a ginger plants when I read this! Yes, you can start basil from a slip. I am not sure about the ginger but it is sprouting something!!!
