Dresser Makeover!

I've had this dresser since the 90's when I was a single gal living in a one bedroom apartment. It has a matching armoire that I plan to paint for the craft room. Anyway, we have new furniture in the master and I really wanted to turn this into a buffet for the dining room. I used liquid sand paper to take off any sheen, then used a latex paint (Behr) in a color that I had matched from the DecoArt chalky paint collection (available online at Home Depot). I also purchased the bronze hardware at Home Depot. I also lowered it about two inches by cutting the feet down. My hubby did that part and I painted and reattached. All I need to do now is get new barrel shades for the lamps and figure out what I want on the walls. New flooring will hopefully happen this summer too. I'm pretty happy with the new color scheme and new Pottery Barn rug too! This is not on my blog yet, but I will do a post if time allows.

The great thing about these types of pieces is they are usually all real wood instead of pressed board and well worth the effort to redo! Great job.
