How to Update an Ugly Bathtub
How to update an ugly bathtub!
Before: Pastel Pink 80's Bathtub
The processes is actually really simple. All you have to do is prep the area by cleaning it, giving it a light sanding and removing the caulking. The prep took me about 45 minutes but most of the was trying to get the 25+ year caulking off.
Bathtub Makeover with Rust-oleum
Mix together the two cans of the Refinishing Kit and give the tiles two coats with an hour of drying time in between.
After: Clean White Modern Bathtub
And we're left with an absolutely gorgeous updated bathtub!

Did you use this product on the actual tub, too, or just the tile? It's hard to tell in the photos, and the description. I'm also interested if you can see brush marks, how long the product lasts, and whether or not you have to seal it? Thanks in advance.

My tub is fiberglass that has discolored from a sky light. Will this product adhere to it?

Excellent makeover. This also works great on fiberglass units. Thanks for sharing your great project.
