Michaela Edwards on Apr 10, 2014if you insure good drainage for them and the late afternoon sun will dry them up quickly as well. remember they are dessert plants and can handle heat and drouth, they always come back if you give it time. not sure on the clip back but if they break off just stick them right back in the po, they will root again.Helpful Reply

Bethar on Apr 10, 2014When I lived in Calif I did not have this problem. Florida is a bit different with the humidity can be good and bad. I think I need to add extra sand in the soil for better drainage. Thanks for the advice.Helpful Reply

Pamela on Apr 10, 2014When we had our home in Naples, down there in the sunny south I had succulents growing in different pots and these were placed inside of a trough. I kept mine in the dappled shade of the lanai which faced south. They loved it there and they were under the overhang of the exterior and this pretty much kept the rain off of them. I did mist them quite a bit too as they seem to like it with the humidity. Hope you find the perfect spot for yours and that they do well for you!!Helpful Reply
