Has anyone used Krylon "Make it Stone" paint yet??

II am planning on doing countertops in a beach house and have tried a few samples
on a piece of laminate I had. I need help with how much I should sand to make it
smooth or if 2-3 coats of polyacrylic semi gloss will do the trick.

    If you are going to use poly look for food grade (Lowes has one that is food grade). Lightly sanding until smooth- you may have some roughness but I do not know how smooth you can sand that spray paint. I would definitely experiment. But spraying a large area with the spray paint-shake frequently! Otherwise you could have globs of paint and very different outcome of color (not that variation is bad). Good luck

    I have used Rustoleum's stone paint and love it. I am doing it on a floor right now.. i will post pics when it's done. I found a lot of people using it for their counter tops too, just Google rustoleum stone pain counter tops.

    Did you try it yet? Please let me know how it comes out. I love the idea!! We did something of a similar nature in our bathroom and used (I think) EnviroTek resin. It came out really nice!

    I too was wanting to spray the Rustoleum Stone on/over my ceramic floor, old one inch tiles. But then I am now thinking why waste the money when I plan to put a poly over it anyway. What do you you all think of just using cheaper spray or just brush on paint?

    used the stone spray on my counters (after having used a "counter" paint that I really didn't like....) then used tinted marine-grade varnish. I think I should have done a few more coats of varnish though.. anyway, the finish is rough-feeling but that's what I was going for and I love how the counters look!
