Little Girls' Shared Bedroom (Before & After)

When we moved from a 4 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom, my girls (6 and 2) suddenly had to share a room. To make it sting a little less, I let them pick out the design and color scheme. Of course they wanted PINK PINK PINK. The more 'bubble gum' the better.
To tone it down a bit, I added board and batten to the bottom 3/4 of the wall. All the furniture in the room is white or light pink. It keeps the room feeling more open even though there is a ton of furniture in the space (a bed, a crib, two dressers and a desk along with all the toys)
There is no doubt now that this is a little girls' room.
