What a Difference a Day Can Make

What a brutal winter we have had! All the snow had finally melted; the poor plants were just starting to pop their heads out and BAM, from 70 degrees yesterday to 30 and SNOW last night. Here are a couple of pictures of my backyard garden yesterday and today! How is your garden faring?
April 2- All of the snow FINALLY had melted. The irises and tulips and some of the hardy perennials are braving tricky mother nature.
A couple of the brave tulips
April 15- Awoke to another winter wonderland this morning! I believe we have now broken the record for the coldest and snowiest season here in Michigan!
Poor irises! I hope they will survive these next 2 days of cold weather. Supposed to warm up by the weekend!

I hope your plants take it all in stride and that this winter is finally done for!

Good luck. We here in Atlanta were predicted to get 31 outside the perimeter last night. The wind has been horrific! It seemed like a joke on us on Tax Day! We covered some things and just let the rest take their chances. My big blue iris has a huge bud ready to open....??? Guess we were lucky we did not get what you got! Good luck with your plants surviving...we are hopeful too!
