Bobbin Lace Making Info

I am looking for instuctions on how to have a bobbin lace making machine ( usually out of wood and soft material) made as well as a bobbin lace pillow to b made too.This is a VERY OLD form of making lace. Thank You

I have never seen a bobbin lace making machine. Bobbin lace is made on a pillow made for making bobbin lace. Bobbins are made of wood and bone. You make a pattern, pin it on the pillow (brass pins) the lace is made by stiches (whole throw or half throw). It is fun to do but it takes time.

There is a lace maker group that I could share with you. My girl friend is a part of it. She has done bobbin lace for over 40 years that I know of. I have seen her and her kids do it on a pillow. I will ask her about the bobbin machine and get back to you.
