How to Fix a Small Hole With Plaster

Remove any screws or nails. Remove any loose debris.
Press down on the holes so that they are flush with the wall. For a small hole, I apply spackle with my finger so I can dab it in the hole without getting too much on the wall.
Scrape away any excess
Once it's completely dry, sand down the area being careful not to sand the wall.
