Mosaic Bowling Ball

I really like mosaic furniture but wanted to try and make something on my own that wasn't too big, so I picked up a small bowling ball at the local thrift shop and made this one. I bought some old china saucers and shattered them with a hammer (very carefully) under a towel. I followed the tutorials online to put it all together. It's far from being perfectly round and smooth but I like it that way. :)
Enjoyed the project?

Barbara Seeberger on Apr 22, 2015I love it! I'm working on one with more brilliant colors. I'm still looking for an outdoor waterproof grouting. I've got the bottom done & waiting for it to dry. Tomorrow I will flip it over and complete the top. I'm also going to do one using buttons. I've got sooo many and it will be so much fun! Anyways, I wanted to let you know that I really like your ball. I have done several penny balls and cemented a steel rod in the large hole so I can secure in the ground. Mine all are outside balls.
