Gifts From the Coop~ Just in Time for Easter

This is for my backyard chicken keeping friends. If you're like me, your frig is already filling up with more eggs than you can use and it's only just beginning. We keep a small flock of 8 laying hens and come spring-time each of them produces and egg a day.
Farm Fresh Eggs Gift Idea
I love to share eggs with my family and friends but on Easter I like to gussy up the egg cartons and make them into a nice gift from me and " my girls". All you need is some pretty ribbon, burlap, lace or strips of fabric to tie a nice ribbon or bow round your egg carton. Finish it off with a pretty decorative center and a handwritten gift tag and you're all set!
Red and white gingham wired ribbon
I stepped away from the usual Easter pastel colors chose this red and white gingham for a traditional farm fresh look!
Floral Rosettes
I added a pretty yellow floral rosette in the center of the bow for an added burst of sunshine! After all, it's all this lovely day light that gets our girls in full swing egg production!
You can get as creative as you like with hand written gift tags. In this instance I chose simple brown paper to go with my farm theme.
I'm happy with the end results... All supplies can be found at your local Craft store. Thanks for stopping by and Happy Easter! Deb
