Upcycling a chandelier is easier than it looks from the finished product. With some spray paint, beads, and a few tools, you can make your own. Check out the detailed instructions in the blog post.
I needed a fabulous new chandelier for my bedroom makeover, on a not-so-fabulous budget.
Start with a simple chandelier. I found this one for $6 at a Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
Clean and paint, making sure to cover the electrical wires and bulb sockets.
Add beads. Some I was able to clip to the sides using the metal links between beads, and some had to be glued on with epoxy.
Voila! Reading Nook! We put a dimmer switch on ours, to adjust the lighting easily. (I only rated this one at moderate difficulty because the chandelier had to be wired. For me it was easy - I just asked my husband!)
