Surprise Easter Egg Place Setting

Here's an easy, last minute place setting idea for your Easter table.
First - blow out your eggs and paint them. I used excelsior in a vintage pewter dessert cup to hold my eggs.
I made little pennants with the person's name. They are just paper and wooden toothpicks.
Now for the fun part - on a thin strip of paper, write a special message for the person at each place setting. See my blog post for message ideas.
Wrap your message tightly around the end of a toothpick and put it into the egg through the hole you made to blow out the inside.
Before your Easter dinner, have each person crack open their egg to reveal their special message! Stop by my blog to see the full tutorial - Happy Easter!

I love this idea! I made cascarones for my little grand daughters this year and filled them with little toddler treats. I posted this on hometalk a while back. Your presentation is so pretty, the eggs even look good after they are broken open. The blue and silver and white goes perfectly. I'm already planning to make a breakfast casserole so I can do this.
