Last Easter I went looking for a project to make some Easter gifts. I found this idea on the Internet and put my own twist on them. So here are my flowered eggs. I bought the little baskets in the Dollar Tree, most of the flowers I had in my stash and was glad to use them up.
This was my stash of flowers. To start I pulled the centers out.
I went to Hobby Lobby and bought styrofoam eggs. I used their 40% off coupon so the eggs only cost $2.39
I went back into Hobby Lobby so I could use another 40% off coupon to buy these pins. I don't remember how much they were, two or three dollars I think.
I pulled the centers out of the flowers and inserted the little pins and then pinned them into the styrofoam eggs, covering the entire egg with flowers.
This is a completely flower covered egg.
Here are several eggs, I made each one different.
This is a Dollar Tree basket filled with the flower covered eggs and a couple of foil covered miniature Easter chocolates.

Such a unique idea! Love the look. This would be a great way to use up some of the extra flower stems that I have around that have no purpose. Time to make them shine. Thank you for sharing!

I love these! I've seen them used as hanging decor!
