I am remodeling my master bathroom. Should I tile the shower first or tile the bathroom floor first?

I would tile the shower first and get that mess out of the way and not tracking back and forth on the floor or spilling grout on it and having to re-clean it!

You always want to tile the floor last, due to the fact that you have to put all the materials on the walls to tile them, and, if you drop ANYTHING on your newly tiled floors, you will have to rip your floor up.

As a contractor best way to do is do all together and finish stressful dusty living in your house at once, of course we do start tiling at walls then coming down to the floor and then grout and clean up at the end. you always can protect floor with plastic sheets and drop cloth when you have working traffic on it. In this video clip from one of our finished project, owner already had floor finished before we contract the rest.

I must be the odd ball.... I always do floor first.... then cabinetry/counters installed and then I proceed up the walls.
