I recently got over 100 bottles of ceramic paints from a lady who had been in the business..can I use it like a chalk paint? I love the rustic chalky look but not sure what to do after painting..thought about painting some boards and coating with a varnish..Anyone ever tried them on anything besides ceramics?? Open to ideas, please and thank you

My Mother did ceramic dolls and vases when she was alive andused a good deal of ceramic paint. To the best of my knowledge this type ofpaint is made to be fired after it is dried and this brings out the final coloras well as sets the paint to a glass finish. With this in mind I would try it on some wood and when dry I would applya finish coat of a good sealer like Polyurethane to protect it and to check tosee if the color is affected. Good Luck!

@AmericanWoman LOL, no,I have no kiln, I actually think there are more like 200 1/2 pints of paint..so hate to have it go to waste and it reminds me of chalk paint but wipes off to easily so definatly needs to be sealed with something...was thinking it might be cool to do a barn wood wall in multi colors..
