Organic Pest Control That Works

Spring has finally arrived. time to get outside and do some spring cleaning and a few chores. Spring around here brings bugs. I mean crawling yucky bugs like ants and other unwelcome critters. No worries though, I use diatomaceous earth for organic pest control.
Sprinkle where bugs live and crawl. That's it. Works on ants, beetles, roaches, bedbugs, fleas and more.
The package says it kills in 24 hours. I saw a big reduction but it took a little longer for all signs of my ant problem to dissappear.
Use gloves when handling this, not because it's toxic but becuse it's an irritant on your skin

SL Rogers on Apr 24, 2014I wish the person who posted this topic would have made sure to point out that food grade DE is what should be used for pest control vs. pool grade. There is a difference in the way it is processed; pool grade has high levels of crystalline silica which is a health concern. Food grade is supposed to contain <1% crystalline silica.

Wendi @ H2OBungalow on Apr 25, 2014@SL Rogers The package of DE is found in the garden department of Home depot and Lowes specifically for pest control. Please read the label in this post. If you read m\y article I also clearly stated not to use pool DE.
