Upcycled Chalkboard From Door

ReCreations

I've had this door for quite some time, it belonged to my daughter's changing table and I was not sure what to do with it. So, with some paint and some love, it makes the perfect chalkboard!
Starting with a brown wooden door, I primed it first. This isn't a required step. I just typically do that as my own preference.
I then painted the outside frame purple. I wasn't worried about over spray, since I knew I was going to paint over it. I just love the little knob at the bottom!
Then, I covered the purple framed area with newspaper and masking tape so that I could spray without ruining it.
Then, I painted it all with 3 coats of chalkboard paint. And let dry overnight. Ta da! My girls have had fun playing "school" with it!
