Star of Bethlehem

The Star of Bethlehem (Ornithogalum umbellaturn)
While designing and landscaping my first yard in my new business, I found several patches of this beauty growing around her huge Forsythia in full sun. The homeowner had never seen these bloom before (and she has owned the home for 20+ years) and I was in awe of how they made the weed patch look so lovely.
On cloudy day they did not open until the sun poked through the clouds and shined upon them. I will be digging up several clumps in the neighbor's weedy lawn since he just had his mowing guys shred them! My client has several clumps in the newly extended flower bed so she is happy and I will be happy because I will have more flowers to bring home (and have hubby roll his eyes). He will ask "don't you already have one?" and I will say "yes, but one is not enough!"
This is what gardening is all about-blooms!
