My Split Rock

I got this today and noticed when I got home that the two small Pods are not hard like the middle two. Is this a problem or is this normal?

Your Pleiospilos nelii looks healthy to me. I will say again, however, that none of your succulents appears to be in the proper type of soil, or pot. Follow this link for notes on the care of this type of succulent and compare how the one in the picture is potted: http://waterwhendry.blogspot.com/2007/09/pleiospilos-nelii.html

@Douglas Hunt Thanks for posting that link. I have lost a couple of these, probably due to overwatering. The one I have left is doing will and the center of it looks very similar to the one pictured here. Of the three I had it's the only one I didn't transplant.

I will look into it right away. Although this is the soil they came in. I have a Cactus soil I can use.

I will have to look for one of these. I've never heard of them but it's really cool looking. I have some great cacti and succulents and do well with them. My large Christmas cactus blooms more months than not and a dog tail cactus affectionately named Chrystal Gayle! @Kristy where did you find this plant?
