DIY Easy Kitchen Cabinet Update

I had this blank space between the built in oven and my upper cabinets that was annoying me every time I looked at it so I decided it needed a little something to fill the void. I wanted it to look like a built in so I decided to add some architectural interest with a glue on applique. I purchased mine at HobLob with a 40% off coupon so it was just a couple bucks, then used some wood glue to adhere it to the cabinet, I let it dry over night, then gave the entire area a nice even coat of paint and voila! Instant upgrade for just a few bucks!
Empty space that had a nail where something used to hang. Ugly!
In comes this little guy.
Glue it and hold in place while it dries then give paint over it to match existing cabinet color. Hop on over to get the full tutorial:
