Broken Mirror = My Lucky Find!

You don't always have to go dumpster diving to score a great makeover find!
My driftwood mirror (missing the mirror) from HomeGoods makes me happy : )
Re-attaching the hanging bracket after replacing the mirror. The trick to this was ensuring that I didn't screw the brackets through the mirror! The original bracket was more centered on the back because the original mirror was much smaller. Since my mirror came almost to the edge, I had to make sure I didn't screw through it!
My driftwood mirror frame with Ikea mirror insert. I had to duct tape the mirror into place before securing the backing with screws, making sure that the little squares on the edge of the mirror were evenly spaced.

I suspect many crafty ladies will be re-creating this!! When I initially saw the picture I thought it was a beautifully imagined original and I was anxious to see what the crafter used to make all the 'rays' of sunshine. Lucky find and nice job!!!
