The little trunk that could
Estate sale find
This little trunk was not in the best shape, but I took it home and it has been sitting on my porch for a year.
The top
It had been painted green, but was interesting.
Not in great shape
I spray painted the entire trunk black with Kylon spray paint satin
Painted the metal pieces Martha stewart bronze, stenciled some inspiration on the sides
Painted each rivot
Mod pogged the top with a wall paper cut out for the top.
After it dried it was sealed.
I put a piece of glass that I got at a neighborhood glass replacement business for free, put it on top, now on my front porch.
The glass will protect it if we see more rain, and in Seattle that is a given.
The finished project, ready for flowers.

When I was a little girl, my grandparents had a lot where they planted a garden. Too give me something to do, they gave me a map to a treasure chess. Grandma also liked to go to rubbage sales and the trunk had many long dresses, white lace curtains ect. We halled it home and the garage became our castle for the summer.
