New purpose

We all have them, the plastic containers that come with take-out food. My husband asked me to throw them out, but instead I found a new purpose. They fit perfectly in my vanity drawers and make great little organizers. :)

I do this at work to organize desk drawers so I can find my dental floss, salt and pepper, chewing gum and other personal items. I also use the deeper food containers (like graound beef comes in) in the freezer to help keep some control over the packages of meat, chicken and fish. The smaller ones (yogurt, fruit cups) help when measuring out multiple ingredients in my tiny kitchen. I can measure out tablespoons of this and teaspoons of that and put the big containers away so there is room to work on the counter.

Great idea. I have a surplus that didn't make it to the freezer. I make individual meals for my lunches for the week or when I'm too lazy to cook dinner. I batch cook on Sunday and portions them out in these take-out containers.
