Chartreuse and Brass Nail Trim Ottoman Makeover

I'm in the process of decorating our 80's looking living room into a stylish and beautiful looking place, I found a pair of green fabric covered ottomans at my local thrift shop. I really liked their simple design, height, and at a $20 price I knew I could revive these two little ottomans to make a statement in my living room.
I love the muted color of this this yellow chartreuse upholstery fabric I got for $7 a yard at Home Fabrics! The brass nail trim is from JoAnn Fabrics.
These cat hair infested ottomans just needed some TLC.
I wanted to preserve the green fabric because I was going to use the pattern to sew and construct the new cover. This part took the longest. Make sure to use some gloves and some pliers to remove old staples.
