A Fire Pit Fairy Garden ~ Two Versions, Choose Your Favorite!

My dear friend recently asked if I wanted her rusted-out fire pit for a project of some sort. “Knowing you, you’ll make something cute out of it!” she said. And so I did. But, there was a slight problem. I had two ideas and couldn’t decide which one I liked better! My solution was to plant a tiny garden of Dianthus, Lithodora, Sedum, Violets and English Daisies, make a pond using half a coconut shell and then try out both versions!
Wouldn't this be a great gift for a gardening mom, aunt or daughter for Mother's Day? Or maybe a wonderful, creative play space for your children or grands?
So take a peek and let me know which look is your favorite! Girly pink & white or rustic?
Pretty in pink & white ~ the girly garden!
Odds and ends from garage sales and white accessories made a pretty home for two little fairy girls.

So, here's version two ~ a rustic retreat for two little boy pixies, complete with a fishing hole!
Half a coconut shell becomes a fishing hole!
A wooden birdhouse and tiny metal gardening tools create a woodsy retreat for two little boy pixies.
And, here's what I started with ~ my friend might want her fire pit back now!
