1950's Vintage Deco Desk Revival

I drove past this cute little ranch bungalow to see a young couple who had just moved in take this piece to the curb. I pulled over and watched them...she stood in front of it with her hand on her hip after setting it down and I could tell she was pondering her decision to toss it out. "Walk away!" I kept thinking. And they did! And I snagged it! She looked out the bay window at me stuffing it into my vehicle and I could tell she was kicking herself! Sorry gf, his piece now belongs to the Queen of Revival!
So, in keeping with the deco lines and hues and while refinishing while watching the entire 3rd season of Dexter which is filmed in Miami, I came up with this theme...
I admit, in a strange way, I loved the Miami Vice Green but the colour would be difficult to match and the top of the piece was in dire need of some ever lovin' fixer upper technique.
