A Drop Leaf Table Refinished With a Bee and a Wreath

I found this great drop leaf table in my neighbors trash. It had been used as a workbench and was in terrible shape. I painted the top with Annie Sloan chalk paint, then using cut out cardboard shapes, I traced a bee and wreath design onto the painted surface.
A bee cut out of a file folder was traced onto the center of the table then painted in with black paint.
When the design was finished I distressed the table with sandpaper to give it a very worn look.

Finally I waxed the table with dark wax giving it an aged look. I distressed the legs then dark waxed them to leave the natural wood look.

A great find and you did a wonderful job with it. Where did you find a pattern for the bee? I would love a table like this for my breakfast room.

@Iva Hi Iva, I drew the bee myself then cut it out of a file folder.
