Couldin't pass by ONLY 30cents...

Once again I need help identfying a succulent. I only paid 30 cents for it. I know there is hope for this one right? It only came with a Succulent card that said bright light. I could tell that by the way it was leaning looking for bright light. I have no idea what it is. I can cut this down and replant the ones I cut off? If so should I leave them out of the dirt til they root or in the dirt? Thanks!

Wow, for the price, and of course it has hope, it sure looks like it. I"m new to succulents myself, so I don't know the name. But are easy care. I"m sure you'll get an expert to feed in some great advice. I would break it apart to repot, and use the succulent soil mix w/pea gravel, I was told. Good luck and good find.

I'd break of the top "flower" as one piece, then a few inches of branch with its leaves. I've regrown this type of succulent using the technique here: http://lavendeandlemonade.blogspot.com/2013/12/5-simple-steps-for-starting-succulents.html

it has a chalky like resadue on it.....does it have a speical name beside just crassula?

I have this plant too and I don't think it is either crassula or hen & chicks, but I don't know its name. Mine is outdoors and the leaves are a bit tighter. Any leaf that falls will grow if it falls on soil. As it grows the lower leaves tend to fall and you get a long stem with a rosette at the end. I cut the ends off and replant them, then the stems grow branches at the old leaf junctions. Small, yellow, star shaped flowers appear in clusters in the Spring. It's pretty hardy and very easy to grow.
