DIY Chicken Coop
Need a chicken coop for a smaller flock but don't know where to start? Try converting a dog house!
Find a free dog house...you can look on freecycle or craigslist. We found ours on freecycle. It was heavy to move so you will want more than one person to help you lift it.
remove the top lid and nails, and add hinges and a handle. We got our supplies from our local hardware store for less than $7. Be careful removing the nails!
add a run to keep them confined and you are set! This could easily hold 4-6 bantam chickens or 3-4 standard size hens.
