Homemade Laundry Detergent

This is a super easy recipe for homemade powder laundry detergent. It works great, lasts a long time and smells fantastic. Plus, it costs much less than store bought detergents. It is made using 5 simple, easy to find ingredients.
First, you gather your supplies. Borax, OxyClean, washing soda, baking soda, and Fels-Naptha.
Next you will finely grate your Fels-Naptha.
Then you add your other ingredients and mix together. Make sure all the ingredients are completely mixed in. Transfer it to a cute container and you are ready to wash.

@Mitziblueyes Yes, I have been making this for years. If you want a cute baby shower gift, get a cute container and instead of the felsnaptha use a bar of Ivory and grate that. I don`t use fels, I use Zote, the pink bar. Just made some for a friend with a HE washer and she loves it and has offered to pay me to make more with the Zote. It is also great with sweaters. It pulls the soap scum out of your laundry from your old detergents. When I use it to wash sweaters I dissolve it in a cup of hot water and let it cool. Then I pour it in the sweater wash water. Try it. :)

Unfortunately, Fels-Naptha has the antibiotic Triclocarban added. Unnecessary and harmful to us and the environment.
