How to Create a Faux Tile Hand Painted Backsplash

I wanted to add some pizazz to my outdated kitchen. The white and green color scheme looked very clean and modern in it's time, but as I grew up, my tastes changed, and the styles changed too. I also wanted to make my "mom-cave" feel a little warmer, a little cozier. This was the result.
I also created a focal point over my kitchen sink to tie everything together using the same technique. Did you notic that I'm a huge fan of faux? Even my window treatments are hand-made faux roman shades {tutorial coming soon}.
So now when my purse gets a little heavier {or whenever I hit that lottery} I will be prepared to choose my new counter tops and tile backsplash color. If you want to see more of this kitchen transformation, please go to my blog.

I love the color combo, and the Navy blue does add to it, plus free country, any color combo is acceptable by personal choice. Great job, love it!!!!!
