How to Install a Stone Walkway

The front of our home has been an ongoing job for several years. The area between the sidewalk and street has always been a problem area because of the trees shading the area.
After our oldest son and his girl began walking across the grass from the street to the sidewalk, and the grass died, we knew we needed a walkway.
Add in the shade problem and it was always an eye sore.
So we decided to start from the beginning and totally re-do the area.
The Stone Walkway is not difficult to put it plus it's an economical option.
We started with some plans of how we thought we would like it to look. And yes, we still had snow on the ground in March.
My husband removed all of the dead grass and weeds from the whole area. And then began digging the area for the sidewalk.
Gravel was laid down, and boards to measure the amount of sand that needed to be added.
The sand was packed down with a tamper.
And the stone was set into place.
After the Stone Walkway was complete, it was time for the plantings.
