Annoying dogs in my garden.

My husband and I just bought a house. I've been working in my garden pulling weeds and now planting flowers and bulbs. We have these little annoying dogs that run around in our neighborhood. Mind you my husband and I are dog lovers but we don't like them when they do their business in our yard. I've been working really hard to make it look nice. Does anyone know what I can put down that will distract them from doing this ?

My dogs don't like citrus, so I'd grind up citrus peels & sprinkle it along the edges of your yard & where they like to do their business.

We found a bunch of options here -- I hope one of these works for you! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/say-goodbye-to-garden-pests-for-good-3408249 What's worked best for me before is just spraying the dogs with water a few times. They really prefer to be dry, and will not soon forget the consequences of coming near your garden!

Irresponsible pet owners are the bane of many a gardener's existence. Not only can they do serious damage to your gardens, it is terrible to let your pets wander and get hit by cars and all of the other things that could happen to them. Check your local town hall for information about leash laws.

You're not too far from me Elizabeth every state has a law that dogs need to be on leashes. One of the dogs almost got hit 3 times within an hour.
