Green painted kitchen cabinets look great; distressed enough for the wood to show through.
Apple green painted bed
This distressed painted dresser from The Modern Cottage is offset with dark pull handles.
If this bright green is too much then halve the impact with a softer, but glossy top. Its modern.
Annie Sloan's Chalk Paint in two colors, look great on this dresser. Brass pulls and a dark was coat give the finishing touches.
Bright green makes quite a statement in this simple but traditional office. This green would look great as an accent color if this is too bold for you.

Theresa, I totally agree. It was my first thought when I first saw the piece. The distressing is unbelievable. I would repaint and distress again in natural worn areas. As is, it just looks like a cabinet that has a disease that needs to be healed.

I think the green color is nice on the cabinets but not the quality of distressing. It looks very amature and too equal in the areas of distress. Very un-natural looking.
