Materials:

Sunflower Bushes

Styrofoam Ball

Ribbon

Hot glue

Wire cutters

Tip: By using the sunflower bush you are going to get the most for your money. It is more affordable than buying individual stems for this project.

Trim sunflower blooms off the sunflower bush, leaving about 2-4″ of the stem, depending on the diameter of the styrofoam ball you are going to insert them into. (For larger balls you can use a longer stem...) Insert blooms around the circumference of the styrofoam ball. For a little more security, you can add a dot of glue to the ball before you insert the flower stem.

Add a ribbon or twine to hang the pomanders. Trim several inches of ribbon to create a loop then hot glue ends to the styrfoam ball, hiding the ribbon’s ends underneath the flower blooms. Pomanders are versatile decor items. Perfect for any rustic, outdoor, country or barn weddings. Pomanders can be used as alternative bridesmaid bouquets or flower girl’s baskets. Cutting the cost of traditional flower bouquets. They can also be used as a hassle free aisle or pew decoration, centerpieces, chairback decorations, and the list goes on.
